I'm Liz. I live by the sea lochs of the west coast of Scotland, and I've been jumping into cold water since I was a wee lass!
But in the last few years, I've navigated the most challenging moments of my life - a level of grief, loss and chronic anxiety that had my brain on overdrive and my body exhausted.
Cold plunging and breathwork were my lifebelts. The only thing that allowed me to keep putting one foot in front of the other, when all I wanted to do was collapse.
We all have our own cold tub to face plunging into in life. If you've found yourself standing on the edge, scared to take a leap..I'll help you build resilience and capacity to face it — so you can choose to step in anyway.
Chilly Dooker grew out of years of using breathwork and cold plunging for my own self care, and working with so many midlife women who feel like an alien in their own skin.
I wanted to help others feel more like themselves again too; less stressed; more resilient - ALIVE!
I've swum with wild dolphins in the Red Sea, led cold plunge and breathwork at a château in France, and stood knee-deep in a Scottish sea loch more mornings than I can count...wondering "why do I keep doing this?"
The answer's always the same: because it works.
Both have been used for centuries as tools for regulation, resilience, and reconnection of mind, body and soul. Together they do something that's hard to describe and easy to feel.
