Wild Soul Retreat · 1–4 March 2027 · Loch Goil, Scotland — Chilly Dooker
Chilly Dookerpresents
1–4 March 2027  ·  Lochwood House, Loch Goil, Scotland

Leave your old story in the loch. Breathe yourself back to life.

The Wild Soul Retreat. Three nights on the shore of Loch Goil in the Scottish Highlands, for midlife women who want to feel alive, vital and completely like themselves again.

Come home to yourself

There's a version of you who craves a little excitement, laughs loudly and says yes to the swim. She hasn't gone anywhere. She's been quiet for a while, under everything you've been carrying.

The Wild Soul Retreat is three days to wake her up. You'll walk into a Highland loch and leave the old identities in the water: the one who holds everything together, the one who's always fine, the one who's been running on empty. Then you'll breathe, warm up by the fire and find out who's underneath.

Walking in forests. Swimming in the loch. Sitting round a fire under an open sky. Delicious meals cooked for you. Belly laughs with other women who bring their whole selves.

There's nothing to sit through and no one to impress. There's space to be, and to feel like yourself again.

What happens here

Water, breath, fire and land.

Four elements, woven through your days on Loch Goil, each doing its own work on your body and your mood.

Water

wash away the old

Step into Loch Goil, with as many dips as you want and every step guided. The cold takes your breath, clears your head and washes off whoever you've been performing. You climb out buzzing, and you'll want to go straight back in.

Breath

breathe into something new

Breathwork in the geodome, with the loch stretched out beyond the glass. Each session slows your nervous system, releases the tension you've been holding and makes room for a new way of being to arrive. Evening sessions send you to bed deeply relaxed.

Fire

warm up, glow, gather

Sauna and hot tub in the wild spa, looking out over the hills and the water. Evening fire circles under the open sky, with women who bring energy. Heat after cold is the reward you've earned, and it's very good.

Land

wind on your face

Guided walks through woodland, up into the hills and past waterfalls. Fresh air, mud on your boots, and nothing to do but be outside and alive in a landscape that makes you feel small in the best way.

Together they bring your mind, body and soul back into step.

"You walk out of the water feeling so much more alive than when you walked in."
Liz Melville

Your host

Liz Melville

Cold Water Facilitator and Breathwork Coach · Founder of Chilly Dooker

I live beside the sea lochs of Scotland's west coast, and I've been jumping into cold water since I was a wee lass. Breath and cold got me through the hardest years of my life, and I've spent the time since sharing them with other women.

I've woven breath, cold and the heat of the sauna into a practice that has guided dozens of women, on retreat, in person and online, towards feeling more alive, more resilient and more like themselves again.

I'll be right there with you the whole time, in the water and by the fire, with a warm welcome and plenty of encouragement.

Good to know

Questions you might have.

What if I don't know anyone else coming?

Many women come to our retreats on their own, and it's natural to feel a little anxious. We'll hold online information and welcome sessions before the retreat, and there's a Retreat WhatsApp group you can join to chat with everyone before you arrive.

Do I need any cold water experience?

None at all. Most women arrive having never done this before. Liz will support you fully and safely in and out of the water, at your own pace. It's natural to feel nervous about getting into cold water, and every woman we've introduced to it has ended up going in again and again.

What should I bring?

Warm layers (base layer, warmer mid layer and waterproof outer layer), swimwear, water shoes, a dry robe if you have space to pack one, comfortable waterproof shoes for walks and anything that helps you feel warm, comfortable and happy. When you book you'll get access to a retreat portal with a full packing list.

Is this safe if I have a health condition?

Please let us know any relevant health information when you book, so we can support you properly during the breathwork and cold water sessions. If you have any concerns or questions at all, email [email protected].

Are dietary requirements catered for?

Absolutely. Caroline, our retreat chef, can cater to any allergies or intolerances. Just let us know when you book.

How do payments work?

You can pay in full and save £115, or book with a payment plan of a £250 deposit followed by four payments. The payment plan is available until 31 October 2026. The £250 deposit is non-refundable and transferable, and secures your place. Travel costs and travel insurance aren't included.

When do I arrive and leave?

Arrive on Monday 1 March 2027 from 4pm, and depart on Thursday 4 March by 11am, after morning yoga and breakfast together.

She's been waiting for you.

Three nights in the Highlands, with the loch, the fire and a group of women ready to feel alive. Come and find her.
